A cylinder is weaker on the way back. The RG600 isn't.
Pushing, a hydraulic cylinder uses its whole piston. Pulling, it only has the ring around the rod, so it pulls with 50–70% of its push force. The RG600 drives a joint with the same torque in both directions: equally strong lifting and lowering, opening and closing.
Built for the slow, heavy joints on electric machines
If you're building a battery-electric machine and the only reason to carry a pump, tank and hoses is a few joints, the RG600 bolts on at the pivot and drives each one straight off the battery. It suits joints that move slowly and carry a lot: lifts, folds, tilts, legs and levelling. It isn't built for fast swing or digging impacts, and we'll tell you straight if your joint is one of those.

If the machine already runs a pump, the joint moves fast, or it takes heavy impacts, stay hydraulic. If it's battery-electric and the joint is slow and heavy, go electric.
Frequently asked questions
What is the maximum torque capacity of the RG600?
The RG600 is rated to 6,000 Nm continuous. Its max torque is 10,000 Nm, which covers shock and peak loads — it is not a figure to run at all day.
What ratios and lead time?
800:1, 1,200:1 and 1,600:1 are standard, with custom ratios from 400:1 to 2,400:1 on request. A higher ratio is slower but reaches the same torque with a smaller motor. Lead time is about 2 months.
Where can I buy one?

Do I have to buy the complete drive package?
No. The RG600 works on its own with your own motor and control. Our 48V BLDC motors, motor controllers and software are there if you want a matched drivetrain from one supplier.
